Art Hanger and Canada's New Government Are Showing a Strong Commitment to the Environment, While Strengthening the Economy and Helping Western Farmers.
May 02, 2007
Recently, Dominion Energy announced its plans to construct an ethanol production plant near Innisfail, further proof that the increased funding for renewable fuels in the 2007 budget is getting real results. Canada`s New Government is committed to helping Canadian farmers produce renweable fuels and helping to fight climate change. As part of the 2007 budget, the Conservative government is providing 2 billion dollars to help in the development of a renewable fuels industry in Canada. This includes 1.5 billion dollars in incentives to producers of gasoline alternatives, and 500 million dollars to help companies build renewable fuel production facilities. This new funding will help to clean up our air, while supporting the renewable fuels industry and creating jobs. Art Hanger and Canada`s New Government will continue to fight climate change while looking out for western jobs and the Canadian economy. |
