The federal riding of Calgary Northeast extends northwards from the Trans-Canada Highway (16 Ave) in Calgary. It is bounded to the east by 84 Street NE, to the north by 144 Avenue NE and to the west by a combination of Deerfoot Trail NE, Beddington Trail NE, Harvest Hills Boulevard NE and Centre Street N.
 
Calgary Northeast is one of Canada’s most multicultural ridings. Many of its residents are first- and second-generation Canadians originally hailing from India, Pakistan, the Middle East, Africa and the Philippines. This rich diversity is a visible and celebrated hallmark of the riding and promises residents and visitors alike a broad range of cultural, culinary and retail experiences.

Primarily an urban residential zone, Calgary Northeast also hosts a number of trade- and service-oriented businesses, many in support of the oil and gas industry. The riding is also home to Calgary International Airport, making Calgary Northeast the world’s gateway to the great city of Calgary and its many business opportunities and attractions, including the world-renowned Calgary Stampede.
